Department
This position is filled in the IoT Technology team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals working on big data, data analytics, data sharing and IoT solution implementation projects.
Project
Energy Cloud is a comprehensive IT solution aimed at achieving energy-saving goals. This approach is defined based on the methodology of the Science Based Target Initiative, according to Scope 1 (direct emissions from the company's operations) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from electricity usage). This means that Deutsche Telekom (currently operated by GSUS in Germany for office buildings, in cooperation with Telekom Natcos) is reducing its emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. This method is used to develop, plan, and implement scientifically grounded, measurable, and transparent emission reduction strategies. What’s special about the project is that we must be able to receive data both from external networks and from Telekom’s private network. There is an external machine learning team, an IoT device control team, and a few other teams that are developing in parallel with us and will eventually migrate to our platform. We choose Google Cloud Managed solutions for everything.
Main tasks
- Develop, Document, Integrate and Deploy Infrastructure-As-Code into Multiple and Staged Cloud Runtime Environments
- Provide abstract interfaces for an overarching automation backend
- Coordinate security measures in various layers of a resource management product
- Monitor and Ensure Code Security, Code Quality and Runtime Quality using Standard Tools and Rulesets
- Work Agile in a high-skilled and cross-functional international team (Germany, Hungary, Spain).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent work experience in IT
- 3+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Strong communication skills and excellent written and verbal communication competences in English language.
- Eagerness to continually learn, grow and improve in a collaborative team environment
- Experience maintaining and deploying to Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP or anything equivalent) is a must
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Jenkins
Advantage:
- Knowledge of Security Infrastructure Technology
- Good understanding of networks esp. in cloud environments
- Knowledge in agile
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD (gitlab runners), github actions
- Experience with GitOps Tools (e.g. ArgoCD, FluxCD)
- Experience with Monitoring in cloud environments
- Experience with Jira, Confluence
- Experience with Helm
