What you will do:
- Ensure rigorous and proactive monitoring of customer accounts and collection activities to maintain healthy cash flow;
- Analyze credit risk to support informed strategic decision-making;
- Manage the opening, updating, and maintenance of customer accounts with accuracy and efficiency;
- Evaluate account opening requests and determine optimal credit terms;
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, error-free account reconciliation;
- Conduct follow-up calls and emails for past-due accounts;
- Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers;
- Track payment commitments and update records accordingly;
- Prepare reports on overdue accounts and recommend corrective actions;
- Maintain professional and friendly communication with our customers across Canada, by phone and email.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Education: AEC or DEP in Accounting or a related field;
- Required experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, including a strong collections component;
- Comfortable with computer tools and able to learn quickly;
- Solution-oriented mindset with sound judgment in day-to-day situations;
- Team spirit and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service;
- Strong autonomy, organizational skills, and excellent analytical abilities;
- Bilingualism (French/English – intermediate level) due to the organization’s nationwide operations and the need for effective communication between different regions (asset).
