As a Communications and Media Associate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s external and internal communication strategies. Your expertise in various media channels, content creation, and event planning will enhance the brand presence and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1. Develop Effective Corporate Communication Strategies:
- Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling messaging that aligns with our brand identity.
- Craft communication plans that resonate with our target audience across different platforms.
- Curate targeted lead generation emails with a strategic focus.
2. Manage Internal Communications:
- Prepare internal memos, newsletters, and announcements to keep our team informed.
- Ensure consistent and timely communication within the organization.
- Monitor usage of firm’s internal communications platforms
3. Content Creation:
- Draft engaging content, including press releases, blog posts, and website articles.
- Create captivating social media posts that highlight our expertise and thought leadership.
4. Manage channels and platforms
- Manage the firm’s social media handles
- Promote internal and external events on the firm’s social media platforms
- Manage engagements on the firm’s social media platforms.
5. Media Liaison:
- Coordinate media requests, interviews, and statements.
- Foster relationships with journalists, influencers, and key industry figures.
6. Event Planning:
- Organize and execute events like webinars, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event logistics.
7. Marketing Support:
- Work closely with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements and promotional materials.
- Assist in developing marketing campaigns that showcase the firm’s services, events, and reports.
8. Content Production:
- Lead the creation of micro-videos and short documentaries that highlight the firm’s success stories and client impact.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy and consistency.
9. Risk Management:
- Handle “damage control” during negative publicity situations.
- Address disputes with the public or external vendors professionally.
Qualifications
1. Experience:
- Proven track record as a communications specialist, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Firm grasp of key trends in corporate communications and strategic alignment.
- Familiarity with web content production, and project management.
- Proficiency in copywriting and editing.
- Curious and ready to learn at all times.
2. Skills:
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset.
3. Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a relevant field.
