Summary/Objective:
The Communications Assistant is a contributor to the team responsible for promoting and protecting Angel’s reputation. This role will support Angel’s corporate communications, streaming publicity team, and theatrical publicity team, including playing a role in media relations support, writing fact sheets, managing media lists and contacts, and researching and organizing press opportunities. Essential Functions:
Assist with the development and organization of media lists.
Support department scheduling and logistics to ensure all deadlines are met.
Conduct research on media opportunities
Assist coordinators in writing press materials, coordinating project assets, and writing fact sheets
Build relationships with external communications agencies and internal Angel teams for corporate, theatrical, and streaming projects.
Support communications department with tracking department project deliverables.
Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language is required.

Proficiency with Google Workspace.

A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn quickly.

Positive attitude, understanding that Communications is a relationship-driven function.
Work Environment:
Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.
Position type and expected hours of work - Part-time, temporary, 15-20 hours / week.
Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Required Education and Experience:
1 year of education in Communications or Public Relations program.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Working toward Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
