About the Role
Mango Languages is hiring a Corporate Counsel with deep experience in SaaS and commercial contracts. In this role, you’ll review and negotiate a high volume of sales agreements, vendor contracts, and RFPs. You’ll also support internal legal needs across departments, including HR, Operations, and compliance.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys contract work, has excellent attention to detail, and can support a wide range of legal needs. In addition to contracts, you'll assist with policy development, employment-related legal questions, and compliance initiatives including support for our certifications and data privacy practices. You’ll also play a part in helping streamline how the legal team works - improving templates, systems, and internal workflows alongside other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, MSAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, DPAs, and NDAsDraft and review RFP responses, including bid documentation and contract terms, in collaboration with the legal teamSupport the Sales team with contract review and help address customer legal termsProvide general legal support to internal teams, including HR and Operations, on issues like policy interpretation, disciplinary documentation, and compliance with employment-related lawsHelp maintain contract templates and legal guidance documentsSupport Mango’s ISO 27001 certification and data privacy posture by ensuring contract terms align with information security and privacy standardsCollaborate with Finance, Security, and other internal teams to align contract terms with company policies and prioritiesProofread and quality-check contracts and RFP responses for accuracy and consistencyHelp improve legal operations by contributing to more efficient contract workflows, document management, and internal processes, in collaboration with the legal teamBe available occasionally outside standard business hours to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives
What we are looking for:
JD and bar admission in good standing (any U.S. state)6+ years of legal experience, with significant time reviewing and negotiating SaaS contractsStrong understanding of liability, indemnity, IP, data privacy, employment-related issues, and commercial termsFamiliarity with ISO 27001 and its impact on contract terms and vendor/customer expectationsHigh attention to detail, you’re careful, thorough, and catch small errors before they become problemsComfortable managing multiple agreements and deadlines at onceClear, direct communicator who can explain legal terms to non-lawyersProficient with a MacBook, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and Adobe Acrobat ProExperience working with a B2B SaaS company preferred
Nice to have:
Experience supporting public sector sales or responding to government RFPsFamiliarity with FERPA and state privacy lawsPrivacy or security certifications (CIPP, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
Experience developing and delivering training on legal, compliance, or contract topicsCertification in data privacy and/or security
Interview Process:
