You'll report directly to the co-founder/Chief Risk Officer. You will assist in the implementation of scalable infrastructures for analyzing large real-time datasets. Furthermore, you will be involved in the effort to deploy interfaces between Ruby on Rails and a back-end service that generates predictions using trained statistical models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, finance or other programming related fields from a top tier school
- Must possess basic knowledge in DB and SQL programming
- Must possess basic knowledge in web and application programming (Ruby, HTML, Javascript, CSS)
- Must be familiar with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) concept
- Ability to identify non-obvious solutions to complex problems
- Programming ability using R, Matlab, Python or other statistical software
- Preferably has a basic understanding in statistics, machine learning modeling techniques
- Preferably is familiar with the concept of test-driven development and code review
