As Director, Treasury & Capital Markets, you will own and oversee Mulligan Funding’s capital strategy end-to-end. This role is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and managing diverse funding channels, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, and other institutional capital sources. You will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s liquidity, balance sheet strength, and ability to scale responsibly, overseeing and deploying hundreds of millions of dollars in capital while working closely with executive leadership and external partners.
This is an onsite role based in San Diego, operating on a 3 days in-office / 2 days remote hybrid schedule. Given the nature of the role and its close partnership with executive leadership and external capital partners, regular in-person collaboration is essential.
You will:
Oversee all treasury and capital markets activities, including liquidity management, funding strategy, and balance sheet optimization.Source, structure, and execute securitizations, warehouse lines, and alternative financing arrangements to support business growth.Manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, trustees, rating agencies, and other capital partners.Lead negotiations of financing agreements, covenants, pricing, and terms across multiple funding sources.Monitor compliance with funding agreements, covenants, and reporting requirements.Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, liquidity models, and capital planning analyses.Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership to align capital strategy with business objectives and risk tolerance.Analyze market conditions and proactively identify new capital opportunities to diversify and optimize funding.Support due diligence processes related to financing transactions, audits, and investor reporting.Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Credit, Legal, and Operations to ensure efficient deployment and use of capital.Operate as an individual contributor with full ownership of treasury and capital markets strategy and execution.Performs other duties as assigned.
You have:
7+ years of experience in treasury, capital markets, structured finance, or a related field within financial services, fintech, or specialty lending.Demonstrated experience executing securitizations, warehouse facilities, or other complex debt financing transactions.Strong understanding of balance sheet management, liquidity planning, and funding risk.A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA a plus).Proven ability to independently manage large-scale capital flows and external counterparties.Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.High degree of ownership, judgment, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.Proficiency with financial systems, modeling tools, and Microsoft Office / G-Suite.
