The role of the electrical Technician is to build and test electrical systems to specification based on schematics, including point-to-point wiring. Install industrial plant equipment and perform required maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality. Safely advance departmental assembly efficiency and productivity. Assist Maintenance Technicians with routine preventive maintenance tasks, facility upkeep and housekeeping, and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Education/Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) / Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), plus three (3) years of experience building and troubleshooting electrical projects in an industrial environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Electrical/Technical Skills. Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, blueprints, sketches, written specifications, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, position, tolerances, orientation, and dimensions. Advanced understanding of electricity and electrical circuits, switches, sensors, actuators, electrical schematics, electromechanical devices, motors, safety potential, grounding, and electrical control systems. Basic understanding of hydraulic automation troubleshooting. Ability to use a variety of hand and machine operated tools with precision and dexterity. Ability to handle materials manually or with hoist, slings, fork truck, etc. Ability to obtain and maintain industrial equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift) certification(s).

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, frequently. Frequent use of arms, hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach and lift. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Occasionally required to climb stairs, lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment
Generally, work on a shop floor and manufacturing environment. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts such as overhead cranes, vibration, and moving vehicles, fumes or airborne particles; and occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as approved footwear, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, hearing protection, a respirator required.
The minimum and maximum hourly range for this full-time position is $30.00 - $38.00 + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in this posted role reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits.
