The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintenance of the facility, management of systems supporting the facilities, and contributing to disaster recovery/business continuity.
Essential Responsibilities: Facilities Administration
Assists in maintaining facilities through regularly scheduled maintenance, repair, and cleaning; includes but is not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, paint, flooring, roofing, and pest control
Independently performs maintenance and repairs when possible
Supervises contractors/vendors in performing other maintenance and repairs; ensures the services of those vendors meet the contracted quality standards
Assists in management of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators systems supporting the facilities
Collaborates with lab management to ensure optimal provisioning of facilities needs inside the labs
Collaborates with office management and operations management to ensure optimal workstation assignments and upfitting and other projects, as needed
Maintains the facilities request database; this includes but is not limited to responding to requests in a timely manner, appropriately setting expectations, and reporting metrics to management
Assists with developing and implementing innovative programs and processes that reduce costs, increase efficiency and productivity, improve quality, and/or reduce risk within the facilities

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Education/Experience
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Not less than four (4) years of progressive experience and responsibility in a tenant services or maintenance related field
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Skills
Proficient in understanding of building codes and regulations
Demonstrated ability to safely perform routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to be successful with negotiation and conflict resolution
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple audiences in a professional manner face-to-face, on the telephone, and in writing; ability to gain credibility, provide effective customer service, and foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Acute attention to detail
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while delivering high quality results
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Ability to function independently, work under pressure, and tight deadlines while achieving results in a fast-paced team environment; ability to self-motivate with strong work ethic

Preferred Credentials
Associate degree in facilities management, construction management, or other related field of study
Not less than two (2) years of progressive experience and responsibility in a tenant services or maintenance related field

This is a full-time position
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
