Position
To support our rapid and sustainable growth, we are looking for a Field Technician who enjoys working in the field and solving technical challenges. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Smappee’s charging and energy solutions, including AC and DC charging infrastructure and battery systems.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze electrical installations and ensure proper integration of charging equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of charging systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation or operation
- Perform ad hoc interventions and repairs when problems arise
- Install and configure the required IT and communication equipment
- Provide technical support during the commissioning of new Smappee projects
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams during installations and interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
- Ensure that installations meet safety and performance standards
Requirements
- Degree in electricity or electrical engineering, or equivalent knowledge through technical education (e.g. secondary technical education) or relevant experience
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical installations and technical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service
- Familiarity with energy monitoring systems, smart home devices or renewable energy technologies is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
- Willingness to travel to various locations across Belgium
