Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a broad, generalist analyst role designed for people who want to build a strong foundation in Finance while gaining exposure across our business.
You’ll be part of a connected Finance team that works across planning, reporting, compliance, risk, and strategic initiatives, contributing where the need is greatest and learning how different disciplines come together to support Contact’s strategy.
In this role, you will:
Support team and initiative leads with analysis, insight, and reliable finance delivery
Contribute to core Finance activities such as financial integrity, planning, forecasting, and performance reporting
Provide finance input that helps shape decisions, rather than just reporting on outcomes
Work across different initiatives and technical disciplines as priorities shift, building breadth and adaptability
Build trusted relationships across Finance and the wider business through clear, confident communication
Grow your capability through exposure, coaching, and learning, including opportunities to rotate or deepen expertise over time
This is not a narrowly defined role. It’s suited to someone comfortable with ambiguity, curious about how Finance supports the whole enterprise, and motivated to keep learning.
Ko wai koe | About You
You’re someone who enjoys understanding the “why” behind the numbers and wants to see how your work connects to real business decisions.
You’ll likely thrive in this role if you bring:
A foundation in finance or accounting, with some handson experience in a professional environment
Clear, confident communication and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
Curiosity and a growth mindset, you enjoy learning across different areas rather than specialising too early
Comfort working in a flexible, evolving environment with multiple priorities and collaborators
A strong sense of ownership, reliability, and pride in the quality of your work
If you don’t tick every box but this role excites you, we still encourage you to apply. We’re more interested in how you think, learn, and show up than in a perfect CV.
If you’re looking for your next step where you can make a difference, grow your career, and be part of a supportive, future-ready team, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll be supported to grow your capability, explore different pathways, and build a meaningful career at Contact.
We support our people to work how, where and when works the best. This role can be based in Wellington, Auckland, or Tauranga. We’re all about keeping things flexible, so you’ll enjoy a hybrid setup that lets you stay connected and focus when you need.
