Muehlhan Wind Services, part of a large international group headquartered in Germany, is expanding its operations across North America with recent acquisitions in Texas, Oklahoma, and Canada. As a result of the growth, we are looking for a Finance Director, North America to join the team in this newly created key leadership position.
The company is in the process of aligning the acquired entities under a unified structure and financial system, and they need a capable and pragmatic finance leader to help achieve this. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to help shape a scalable, high-performing finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the finance team across North America
- Oversee all accounting, controlling and tax activities in the U.S. and Canada
- Be responsible for consolidated reporting to the European headquarters
- Ensure high-quality raw balance data and full compliance with internal controls and documentation
- Drive budgeting and forecasting
- Lead financial analysis of business units and projects
- Actively contribute to business reviews and internal performance dialogues
- Support the transition of all finance entities to Microsoft Business Central
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the integration of acquired business units
Qualifications
- A hands-on leader with at least 5 years of management experience in finance
- Experienced in accounting, controlling and/or cash flow management
- Comfortable operating between detailed execution and high-level strategic discussions
- Familiar with working in a European parent company structure
- Knowledgeable in IFRS (required); CPA certification is a strong plus
- Skilled at managing month-end close, forecasting and financial system rollouts
- Proactive with natural authority and strong people leadership skills
- Culturally aware and able to navigate a hybrid of European and American working styles
- Experience with sales tax compliance and cross-state tax complexity is beneficial, but does not require expert-level knowledge
Location & Travel
- This role can be based in either Dallas, TX or Oklahoma City, OK
- Regular travel between locations is expected
- Occasional travel to Denmark for onboarding and strategic meetings
