Play a pivotal role in shaping the integrity, control and evolution of Finance’s systems and data landscape. This role sits at the heart of our Group Finance function, bridging Finance and Technology to ensure accurate, reliable and audit-ready data across Dynamics 365 Finance, SQL Server, Snowflake and reporting platforms. You’ll combine strong controllership expertise with hands-on technical capability, driving automation, strengthening processes and enabling smarter decision-making across the business. What you’ll do as a Finance Systems & Data Analyst
Act as a finance subject matter expert across month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and process integrity, ensuring robust and audit-ready outcomes.Support the stabilisation and optimisation of Dynamics 365 Finance, partnering with Technology and external vendors to continuously improve finance processes.Own finance master data governance (dimensions, entities, cost centres and hierarchies) to protect reporting accuracy and control.Use advanced SQL (T-SQL) to interrogate, reconcile and validate financial data across ERP, data warehouse and BI layers, resolving discrepancies at root cause.Oversee and enhance finance data pipelines and automation (e.g. SSIS, PowerShell), troubleshooting failures and strengthening monitoring and controls.Enable trusted reporting through ThoughtSpot, Power BI and SSRS, ensuring consistent definitions, stable data feeds and high-quality outputs for stakeholders.
What you’ll bring to the team
3–5 years’ experience in financial operations or finance systems, working closely with ERP platforms (Dynamics 365 Finance preferred) and reporting environments. Strong finance controllership mindset, with the ability to translate accounting and control requirements into effective system and data design. Advanced SQL capability, with hands-on experience investigating and resolving complex data and reconciliation issues. Experience operating and supporting data pipelines or ETL processes (e.g. SSIS), with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement. Confidence partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Technology, data engineering teams and external vendors, influencing without direct authority. A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is advantageous but not essential.
