Aspen Fiber Networks is seeking disciplined and detail-oriented Financial & Logistics Administrative Interns to support internal financial controls, vendor coordination, and equipment logistics across our telecommunications operations.
This opportunity is exclusively available to currently enrolled college or university students. Applicants must maintain active student status throughout the internship period.
Interns will gain hands-on exposure to financial process management, inventory accountability, and operational workflows within a growing technology infrastructure company. This is a structured 90-day internship with defined deliverables and the potential for extended part-time employment based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations
- Maintain and organize financial records, including invoice documentation and payment tracking logs
- Assist with accounts payable tracking and vendor invoice reconciliation
- Support budget tracking and monthly expense reviews
- Assist in preparing internal financial summaries and reconciliation reports
- Track recurring vendor obligations and renewal schedules
- Logistics & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including asset logs and serial number tracking
- Support order tracking from purchase through deployment
- Coordinate vendor communications related to equipment orders and shipments
- Assist in monitoring supply levels and identifying reorder requirements
- Track equipment allocation between departments and deployment teams
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain organized financial and logistics documentation in accordance with internal controls
- Enter and update data across financial and inventory tracking systems with high accuracy
- Prepare summary reports for leadership review
- Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements
- Administrative Support
- Participate in finance and logistics team meetings
- Contribute structured insights on efficiency and cost control
- Perform additional administrative tasks aligned with financial and logistics objectives
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
- Must maintain active student status throughout the internship
- Strong interest in financial operations, cost control, and logistics management
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, basic reconciliation)
- High attention to numerical accuracy and documentation detail
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with structured follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial and operational information responsibly
- Availability to work 20–30 hours per week during the academic term
- Prior internship or academic experience in finance, accounting, logistics, or operations is preferred but not required
