About the role
The Smart Solutions Team Leader plays a key role in driving sales performance and supporting the delivery of ambitious revenue targets. Reporting to the Smart Solutions Team Manager, you will lead and motivate the Smart Solutions Sales Team while also contributing directly to sales activity.
This role blends hands‑on selling with team leadership, ensuring that both individual and group targets are achieved through effective coaching, strategic planning, and a strong focus on customer engagement and business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritise sales activities to achieve agreed targets and devise incentives.
- Work to individual and group sales targets.
- Manage and motivate staff on a daily basis.
- Conduct interview process for recruitment and assist with training requirements for the team as well as conducting monthly team appraisals.
- Maintain a full level of understanding of the Smart Solutions products, the competition and the market and ensure that this knowledge is communicated and understood by staff.
- Maintain and develop new and existing customers through appropriate sales methods, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction. There will be an element of marketing to our existing customer database so not all cold calling there will be warmer leads provided, and we already have an existing relationship with these companies.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
- Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing customers using appropriate sales methods to maximise service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Engage in targeted marketing to the existing customer database, leveraging warm leads and established relationships to generate new opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience working in an office environment essential, preferably with Business-to-Business Telesales experience.
- Supervisory skills would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Good communicator with a professional confident telephone manner and excellent customer service skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to organise and prioritize.
- Resilience when working under pressure with a strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Target conscious and results driven.
- Professionalism, mature attitude and ability to lead by example at all times.
