The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join us on the rewarding journey we’re taking here at Castle Trust Bank. As a fintech challenger bank, we provide specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a wide range of customers.
Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping Castle Trust Bank’s financial strategy through high‑quality insight, robust planning and forward‑looking analysis. You’ll lead the Bank’s budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning, delivering high‑quality insight and performance reporting to the Board and Executive Committee. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive team, you’ll provide commercial analysis, scenario modelling and investment appraisal to support strategic decision‑making, while driving continuous improvement in FP&A systems, reporting and automation. Over time, you’ll build and develop a high‑performing FP&A team.
Initially operating as a senior individual contributor, you’ll provide targeted insight across all areas of the organisation, with scope over time to build and lead a high‑performing FP&A team.
Working arrangements
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in our Basingstoke office and the remainder worked from home. If you prefer to work more days in the office, that’s equally fine.

You’ll be a commercially minded finance leader with strong analytical capability and the confidence to influence at executive level. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly, enabling informed strategic decision‑making in a regulated financial services environment.
