About the role
As Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs at Crypto Finance Group, you will join a dynamic and fast-growing environment at the forefront of the digital asset industry. This role offers exceptional potential for personal growth and strategic impact, as you shape the legal and regulatory function and contribute directly to the future development of the company. The starting date is as soon as possible at our office on the 24th floor of the Prime Tower in Zurich.
Responsibilities
- Take on the lead for the Legal & Regulatory Affairs team in the Crypto Finance Group
- Take full responsibility of leading strategic, group-wide initiatives and projects in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage communication with and requests by regulatory agencies (FINMA, BaFin)
- Lead and manage a team of legal counsels in all legal, regulatory, and corporate governance affairs
- Advise the business in developing, structuring, and establishing new business initiatives; draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and manage outside counsel
- Provide legal and regulatory support for the Group’s international expansion, including strategic guidance for new markets such as LATAM
- Lead interactions with Legal departments of big institutional clients
- Contribute to the business’s strategy and decision-making processes from a legal and regulatory perspective
- Take responsibility for the legal and regulatory framework for the Group companies
- Monitor and stay current with relevant legal and regulatory developments
- Fully support the Group General Counsel, the Executive Board, and the Board of Directors in current legal and regulatory matters related to the Group
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Senior Legal & Regulatory Counsel; project management experience is highly desired
- A master’s degree in Law or “Lizenziat” in Law from a Swiss University; admittance to the bar and additional relevant education is an asset
- Team-leadership experience
- Knowledge of Web 3.0 and DLT is a strong asset
- Experience in an international and fast evolving environment
- Proven track record of a structured approach, and rapid execution at the highest standards
- A dynamic person with a positive attitude and strong motivational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and hands-on, with an attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
