Printfresh is a fast-growing, design-driven lifestyle brand known for whimsical hand-painted prints and premium sleepwear and apparel. As we scale, we are building the operational infrastructure required to support predictable, efficient product flow from factory to customer.
This role is hybrid, typically working in our Philadelphia office Tuesday-Thursday and from home Mondays and Fridays.
Position Overview:
The Head of Supply Chain & Operations is responsible for everything that happens after bulk placement — ensuring product moves efficiently through production, shipping, inbound receipt, and operational readiness.
This role partners closely with the Director of Product Development & Production and owns the logistics, delivery timing, and inventory readiness side of the vendor relationship. The goal is to ensure product arrives on time, launches smoothly, and moves through our warehouse and shipping network efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Execution & Shipment Management
- Take ownership of execution after PO creation, from production tracking through warehouse receipt
- Manage vendor ship notices (ASNs) for all inbound shipments including product, packaging, samples, and third-party materials
- Ensure ASNs are accurate and submitted ahead of inbound shipments
- Track production progress and follow up with vendors on timing and compliance
- Escalate delivery risks, quantity discrepancies, or vendor delays to Product Development and the VP of Operations
- Partner with Product Development on 3-way match integrity across PO, receipt, and invoice prior to payment approval
Delivery Timing & Freight Strategy
- Own delivery timing from bulk placement through warehouse receipt
- Manage air vs ocean freight strategy and freight optimization decisions
- Manage duty classifications and import compliance
- Analyze freight costs and determine shipping splits when needed
- Escalate freight risks that could impact launch timing or wholesale compliance
Vendor Relationships – Logistics Side
- Manage vendor communication related to shipment timing, booking, and compliance
- Own relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Maintain vendor scorecards evaluating delivery performance and ASN accuracy
- Escalate delivery risks to the Director Product Development and VP of Operations
Inbound Operations & 3PL Coordination
- Maintain visibility into inbound volume and delivery schedules
- Partner with 3PL partner (Ryder) to ensure smooth inbound execution
- Confirm warehouse receipt against POs including quantities, condition, and accuracy
- Ensure product arrives with sufficient lead time for warehouse processing prior to launch
- Establish and communicate accurate pre-order dates when delays occur
- Inventory & Launch Readiness
Launch Readiness & Operational Handoff
- Partner with the Inventory Analyst to confirm physical inventory readiness
- Ensure product is received, processed, and available in system prior to launch
- Track landed duty-paid inventory forecast versus actuals
- Escalate risks impacting wholesale compliance or DTC launch timing
Outbound & Packaging Operations
- Manage outbound packaging ordering and replenishment
- Support wholesale compliance requirements including labeling and packing standards
- Coordinate quarterly sample reviews and transfers to 3PL for re-commerce
3PL Optimization & Outbound Operations
- Manage the 3PL relationship at a strategic level including contract management and performance reviews
- Drive shipping optimization including carrier strategy and rate management
- Oversee outbound packaging specifications, costs, and vendor relationships
