The internship will be a 10-week role from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026 spent rotating among pre-assigned operational sales & marketing departments. Key areas of focus will be as follows: Business Development, Social Media Management, Event Planning, and Sales Systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Complete interdepartmental rotation of key hotel departmentsGain general overview of operations of the hotels; both full service and select serviceReview Group contracts and BEOs and process for developing these documentsReview Catering Menus and process for design and costingShadow leaders for each key area (sales, catering, marketing, revenue management)Provide social media and digital marketing support to hotel teamsEnhance marketing and recruitment presence on company websiteAssist with review and explanation of weekly sales and STR reportsIdentify and implement improvements to current processes
Job Requirements (Skills & Abilities)
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong analytical skillsAttention to detailAble to meet multiple priorities and deadlinesAble to travel locally to hotels in the area (Northern Virginia and Maryland)
Education Requirements
A current student or recent graduate of a Hospitality or Business program from an accredited college or university preferred3.0 GPA or higher
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
