Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary HR consultant advising executives on multi-state and CA employment law. Conduct HR, payroll, and time & labor audits; implement compliance corrections. Draft and update policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Manage employee relations cases, investigations, disciplinary actions, and PIPs. Administer leaves of absence and ADA interactive processes. Support recruiting, onboarding, training delivery, and cultural initiatives. Provide HR metrics analysis and executive-ready reports. Work efficiently across HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) and Salesforce. Maintain compliance with the client HR’s responsible AI use policy (efficiency only).
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business; SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred. Strong understanding of U.S. employment law; California expertise highly desirable. Confident advising executives and managing complex HR issues independently. Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms; quick learner on new systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and executive presence.
