Join our Operations team as an Industrial Engineer – Engineering Data Control, where you will help strengthen and scale the systems that define, control, and evolve our products.
Job Description
The Industrial Engineer – Engineering Data Control will play a critical role in advancing Vessel’s product data infrastructure. This highly detail-oriented, systems-focused role is responsible for Bills of Materials (BoMs), part numbering governance, engineering drawing control, NetSuite item master ownership, and the development and execution of our Engineering Change Notice (ECN/ECO) process.
As Vessel continues to scale, we are formalizing and strengthening our engineering data and product lifecycle processes. This role will build structure, clarity, and repeatability into how our products are defined, documented, and how changes are managed across the organization.
This role reports to the Executive Vice President of Operations, with a dotted-line relationship to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, and partners closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Field Operations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
· 1–4 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, product data management, configuration control, or similar roles.
· Experience working with CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).
· Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
· Strong organizational and documentation skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Comfort working in ambiguity and building structured processes.
· Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly across engineering and operations teams.
Construction industry experience is not required. A background in any manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, consumer products, industrial equipment, etc.) is welcome.
Location & Travel
· Fully onsite in our New York office.
· Occasional travel to York, PA and field sites as needed.
