Position Overview
Hunter Douglas, Monterrey is looking to hire an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our North American team. This position will be based in Monterrey, but will require occasional travel to other Hunter Douglas facilities. This individual will help to support production layout design and implementation by modeling process flows and removing inefficiencies in manufacturing and fabrication operations. While based in Monterrey, this individual will provide analytical support to all North American facilities (16 Plants)
What you'll do
• Analyze current processes to understand capacity, flow, and cycle time
• Development of Simulation Modeling and Analysis Software (Production lines)
• Update and maintain plant layouts in AutoCAD
• Generate and manage projects to improve output and reduce labor content
• Optimize overall footprint for North American facilities
• Collaborate with Production, Automation, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Process Engineering to drive process improvements
Who you are
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related engineering fields.
• 3+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools and ability to collaborate with Production teams
• Familiarity with production equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Strong creativity skills for developing solutions along with cross-functional teams
• Time Study Expertise, Line Balancing Skill, Headcount Calculation
• Process Capacity Analysis Development
