Industrial Environmental Services Technician

Covanta Environmerntal Solutions(CES) is seeking a highly dedicated Industrial Environmental Services Technician with strong sense of teamwork, interested in becoming a skilled technician in the environmental field.

The Industrial Services Technician will be part of the Spill Response Team responsible for clean-up of hazardous and non -hazardous waste for Covanta Environmental Solutions industrial customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work in confined spaces. May require Crawling, Lifting up to 50lbs

• Handling, packaging and transportation of both Hazardous and Non Hazardous materials

• Use of Hydro blast equipment, Forklift, and Skid loader

• Build expertise in specialty vacuum equipment, confined space entry mechanical, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools and varying degrees of manual use hand tools

• Completion of critical path documentation; Manifests, Drivers Logs, Job Summary, Permits etc.

• Communicate with Project Manager and on site customers

• Occasional weekend and evening overtime hours

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalency

• Must posess a valid Driver's Licence - Class A or B Commercial Driver's License is preferred although not required.

• Due to this positions interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations, candidates must be 21 years or older.

• Ability to work in Confined Space Entries

• Availability for Emergency Response

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Mechanical troubleshooting ability

• Ability to thrive on hard work and demonstrated pride in solutions oriented results

• Strong physical and mental endurance to finish the job
