THE WORK:

  • You’ll identify applicable state and federal prevailing wage requirements and provide rates for contract solicitations.
  • You’ll present labor compliance requirements at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
  • You’ll respond to prevailing wage questions and concerns from contractors and workers.
  • You’ll ensure accurate reporting of wages, fringe benefits, apprentice utilization, and wage violation resolution.
  • You’ll collect and review weekly Certified Payroll Records (CPRs) and supporting documentation.
  • You’ll coordinate with contractors to resolve CPR discrepancies and deficiencies.
  • You’ll investigate alleged labor violations through CPR reviews, site visits, and worker complaints.
  • You’ll review contractor records, determine withholding amounts, and manage audit processes.
  • You’ll prepare contract payment withholdings and participate in settlement meetings or hearings.
  • You’ll maintain complete labor compliance files and respond to payroll and compliance records requests.
  • You’ll monitor changes in labor compliance and prevailing wage regulations and update practices accordingly.
  • You’ll assist with developing labor compliance policies, procedures, templates, and manuals; conduct site visits and interviews.
  • You’ll attend project meetings, maintain working files, perform other assigned duties, and follow the District’s hybrid work policy.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in public works construction.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree or related degree from a recognized college or university. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis
  • Must have a clear understanding of construction practices, state and federal labor laws, and the ability to interpret and apply the applicable labor law regulations in accordance with the DIR and the BuildLACCD Program standards
  • Possess valid California driver’s license and able to travel to LACCD campuses
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word)
  • BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in Labor Compliance and LCPtracker
  • Bi-lingual - Spanish speaking
