About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Interior Superintendent to support the delivery of a residential high-rise building project in midtown Nashville.
Role Description
You will have the opportunity to oversee interior construction operations of all phases on a 26-story concrete rental tower, including employees, subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
• Lead sub contractors and trades in daily work, ensuring compliance with project schedule
• Conduct quality control inspections and communicate finding to the project team, ensuring necessary changes are implemented
• Review project tasks and drawings on site to ensure compliance with quality and planning
• Ensure that safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times
• Prepare, review, and direct action on all RFIs
• Work with the Senior Superintendent and Project Management team to resolve any issues that may arise
• Plan and track all interior project schedules, material quantities, and equipment requirements
• Supervise workers onsite; provide feedback to workers, enforce company policy and administer disciplinary measures as required
• Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associated work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk
• Ensure building inspections are completed periodically throughout the construction phases to ensure buildings meet specifications of clients
Skills and Requirements
• Experience working on high-rise concrete projects as an interior Superintendent or General Contractor
• Ability and proven experience taking projects from start to finish
• Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity
• Strong communication, integration, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
• Dedication to health and safety in the workplace
• Superior leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external customers
• Results-oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time lines
• Possess a valid driver's license
