About the Position:
As a Billing Financial Systems Intern at Cologix, you will gain hands-on experience supporting critical finance, billing, and systems workflows across a fast‑growing digital infrastructure company. This role offers the opportunity to learn current- and future‑state financial processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute to meaningful system and process improvements. You will support documentation, workflow mapping, and risk‑focused analysis while leveraging modern tools—including AI—to enhance operational efficiency. This internship is designed to build real‑world skills and provide exposure to enterprise systems that power Cologix’s finance organization.
This internship will run for up to 10 weeks, up to 40 hours per week, commencing on or around June 1st and concluding by August 7th.
Why This Internship Matters:
This internship provides immersive, hands-on experience within Cologix’s Billing & Finance functions, giving you meaningful exposure to how financial systems operate in a fast‑scaling environment. You’ll help build current‑state process workflows (P2P, O2C with Zone Billing, R2R) and learn how future‑state designs and risk‑driven improvement roadmaps are developed. Your work will contribute to key operational documentation, including integration architecture materials, Zone Billing governance recommendations, and a Finance Process Playbook. By the end of the program, you’ll deliver a final strategic presentation to leadership that showcases your insights and recommendations.
What You’ll Do:
Leverage AI tools to write training documentation for Billing and Collections. Work closely with the Billing team members interviewing them to determine how training documentation can be upgraded from current state with an expected deliverable being updated training documentation for both billing and collections.Will work with system administrator to build process and workflow documentation. This could include but not limited to the following systems: Day force, Coupa, Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive, ZoneOpportunity to learn how to Identify inefficiencies in P2P, O2C/Zone Billing, R2R.Map risks, controls, and impacts and deliver a complete pain point and risk matrix.
What Makes You a Good Fit (Qualifications):
Successful candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college / university as a rising junior / senior.Preferred areas of study include: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Management Information Systems (MIS)Understanding of AI tools and the ability to use it to update training documentation. Basic system workflows and software skills to create them for different financial systems.
