Essential responsibilities
Application support:
- Assistance, installation and troubleshooting with generic office applications and specific trading floor platforms
- Administer users in the on-premises and cloud directory services (Microsoft Entra, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.)
- Setup devices and install standard services on laptops / desktops / mobile phones
- Closely interact with the company’s central Helpdesk team and document all issues / changes within the ticketing tool
- Build up knowledge / expertise on specific local applications / processes / special requirements
Maintain Hardware Inventory in the MET Baar Office including:
- Create/maintain process to manage and document current and future hardware inventory. Handle proper storing of IT equipment.
- Order and replace new, end of life or broken devices and all IT accessories
- Control and maintain all IT devices in the office including meeting rooms, printer corners, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors any warranty related issues, repair of any IT equipment, handle e-waste handling and transportation from the office
- Build up vendor and 3rd party knowledge base / contact list
Coordination with external infrastructure team on:
- Solving / ticketing IT infrastructure related issues (network, server, connectivity)
- Handling, documentation and coordination of testing new requests and their implementation
- Be the focal point for office infrastructure related projects and changes, including server rooms.
Desktop / Office Support:
- Regularly check and keep meeting room devices in a healthy state, ensure that shared infrastructure is always ready for team collaboration
- Help users with the basic setup of their workplace (laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals) including intra-office relocations and device moves
- Help users to setup company specific services on their mobile devices
- Help users and guests to setup Wi-Fi connections, printers, and conference room devices.
- Create and maintain training material for basic IT activities for users
- Support joiner / mover / leaver employees on handling their IT related administrative, access, and device needs
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in on-site and remote IT support in an international / multi-cultural environment
- Relevant degree in computer systems or an equivalent curriculum with demonstrated domain knowledge
- Expertise in Windows clients, Office applications, site infrastructure technologies, certificates and user administration
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic business environment and deliver consistent service with reliable priority setting and follow-up
- Fluency in English, good communication and customer support skills, strong ability to interact with users at all levels of the organization (including executive leadership)
- Basic project management experience for site infrastructure changes (office moves, network migrations, digital tool deployments, user training, etc.)
