The Senior Strategist plays a critical leadership role in defining and driving the strategic vision for our clients. This position shapes the thinking that fuels impactful creative, integrated media plans, and measurable business growth. You will not only ensure campaigns meet objectives, but that they resonate culturally, connect authentically, and deliver real results.
This is a high-ownership role responsible for setting strategic direction, elevating agency thinking, and influencing both internal teams and client partners.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Own and lead the end-to-end strategic process across key client accounts, from research and insight development to positioning, messaging architecture, and campaign frameworks.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear, compelling strategic direction that inspires creative and media execution.
- Drive audience segmentation, journey mapping, and behavioral insight development to uncover growth opportunities.
- Establish measurement frameworks that connect strategy to performance and business outcomes.
Client Partnership
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients, confidently presenting recommendations, facilitating workshops, and navigating complex conversations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
- Lead strategic components of new business pitches, articulating differentiated thinking that positions Idea Peddler as a category leader.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with creative (production + design), media, social, and PR teams to ensure strategic alignment across all touchpoints.
- Ensure strategy is actionable, integrated, and measurable across channels.
- Elevate the level of thinking within the agency by challenging assumptions and sharpening briefs.
Team Development
- Mentor and develop junior strategists and planners, fostering strong critical thinking and presentation skills.
- Contribute to defining role expectations, growth paths, and best practices for the strategy function.
- Champion a culture of curiosity, rigor, and no-B.S. feedback.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in culture, media, technology, and consumer behavior.
- Introduce new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that strengthen agency capabilities.
- Elevate Idea Peddler’s strategic voice both internally and externally.
