As a Junior Consultant Neurologist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating patients with neurological complaints, gathering comprehensive medical histories, and performing neurological examinations
  • Participate in the diagnosis and management of various neurological conditions, including migraines, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke
  • Support the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, and EEGs
  • Develop and implement patient treatment plans, collaborating with senior consultants and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with advancements in neurology
  • Contribute to clinical research projects as needed

Requirements

  • Medical degree and valid license to practice medicine
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology
  • Strong interest in the field of neurology and commitment to continuous learning
  • Good clinical skills and a foundational understanding of neurological disorders
  • Ability to interpret diagnostic tests relevant to neurology
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care
  • Prior clinical experience or internship in a neurology setting is advantageous but not required
