Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.

With a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in corporate accounting and A/P processes, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the CIB. With a strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously, the candidate will take an active role with the accounts payable function, invoice/expense report processing, payments, assist with full-cycle month-end accounting, preparing A/P journal entries, data management of a post procurement contract database, and other ad hoc reports.  

Your responsibilities include:

Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable

  • Execution of all Account Payable (AP) functions including processing of invoices in MS Dynamics 365 and expense reports in SAP Concur, and wire payments, ACH and EFT payments in RBC Express
  • Ensure the correct coding and proper authorization for expense reimbursement in line with the CIB’s Policies and Travel and Hospitality Guidelines
  • Month-end AP subledger closing
  • Timely follow up of quarterly vendors’ statements and assist in the quarterly accrual process
  • Coordinate interim and annual internal and external A/P audit requests

Financial Systems

  • Assist in the implementation of Accounts Payable related systems
  • Ensure proper data workflow of Procurement, Halo IT Service Management contract database and MS Dynamics 365
  • Ensure ongoing systems and data integrity

Other

  • Perform other duties and special projects, as required
  • Complete ad hoc financial analysis and reports as required

Your ideal profile:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in corporate accounting or accounts payable-related position in financial services industry or public sector
  • A university degree or college diploma in business administration or accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central, Customer Relationship Management and intermediate-advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with maintaining databases and other tools to manage and organize data
  • Previous experience in supporting financial systems implementations and internal control procedures
  • Knowledge of corporate credit card procedures and expense reporting tools
  • A high level of attention to detail and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams/groups and to build effective, trusting relationships across the CIB at all levels and with external clients/partners
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
