Lead Software Engineer

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and building scalable, high-availability web services that power large-scale customer engagement platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, ownership of complex problem statements, and mentoring of engineering teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web services and REST APIs capable of handling high traffic and large data volumes.
• Solve complex engineering problems using structured, milestone-driven approaches with a focus on precision and scalability.
• Architect and implement cost-efficient, highly available, and secure systems.
• Own end-to-end solution delivery, from problem definition to production deployment.
• Lead code reviews, enforce best engineering practices, and guide micro-teams toward high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor and support team members to strengthen technical skills and engineering standards.
• Ensure system reliability, performance optimization, and adherence to secure development practices.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience developing scalable web services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong expertise in Python or Java-based backend development (experience with frameworks such as Falcon or Go-based frameworks preferred).
• Solid experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong foundation in Linux environments and backend system architecture.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and distributed systems such as MongoDB, Kafka, and Scylla.
• Exposure to data processing technologies such as Kafka or Spark is preferred.
• Understanding of secure coding standards and best practices.
