Energetic, caring and open minded clinicians with a passion for caring. Candidates will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with the clients they see for individual, family or group therapy in person and through telemedicine. While doing this they would also be able to the following:
- Provide a therapeutic environment that engages and encourages clients to participate in sessions to address various issues.
- Support, encourage, and promote mental health stability and well-being.
- Supports clients in obtaining a reality-based perspective of their environment by helping to correct obvious distortions.
- Supports clients in the development of social supports including friends, family, members of the community, and service providers in order to promote positive interactions.
- Supports clients in establishing and developing self-esteem by identifying existing and emerging positive characteristics, traits, and contributions.
- Provides a culturally sensitive therapeutic milieu that allows clients to identify and deal with their specific concerns.
- Supports clients in the development of communication skills, social skills, problem-solving skills, and coping skills.
- Supports clients in identifying and meeting basic needs including, medical and psychiatric care, etc.
- Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Will provide documentation for all services provided. Documentation will be submitted in our Electronic Health Record in a timely manner.
Will participate in activities and other duties as assigned
Experience in at least one of the following modalities:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing.
- Sand Tray Therapy.
- Art Therapy.
- and other treatment modalities
Individuals must be independently licensed in Maryland, DC or Virginia to provide therapy/counseling services. CNS, Nurse Therapist, LPC, LICSW, LCPC, Marriage Counselor
Qualifications
