ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Inventory, Logistics & Warehouse Manager provides strategic oversight and operational leadership across all inventory control, warehousing, and logistics functions. This role ensures that inventory activities, material flow, and distribution processes are aligned with manufacturing and service requirements, while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the supply chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Lead all stockroom and logistics personnel, providing clear direction and supportRecruit, interview, hire, and onboard management-level staffManage, evaluate, train, and coach subordinates to ensure high performance and professional developmentConduct timely and constructive performance evaluationsOversee daily departmental operations and ensure alignment with organizational goalsManage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in accordance with company policiesRepresent Warehousing in all Manufacturing and Inventory meetings, articulating plans and updates to staffManage all stockrooms, ensuring they are secure, organized, and inventory is accurateControl inventory levels and ensure availability of materials to support manufacturing and service requirementsManage daily cycle counting in all stockrooms utilizing the ERP systemKeep detailed records of inventory transactions and update material shortages as neededProvide performance metrics and inventory reports as requiredOpen and close Manufacturing Orders per the Master Production Schedule (MPS)Kit materials to support Manufacturing Orders in accordance with the MPSResponsible for all shipping, receiving, and logistics operationsAdminister logistics policies and standards governing the movement of goods and suppliesImplement changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with the logistics functionManage relationships with vendors and third-party logistics providers to ensure service quality and reliabilityWillingness to travel overnight as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred5–7+ years of experience in warehousing and logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience with medical equipment manufacturing, particularly CT and Imaging, is a plusBackground in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, fabrication management, and/or operations in a certified manufacturing organization (ISO 13485 preferred)Familiarity with FDA regulations and compliance standardsExperience with Lean Manufacturing techniques and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management ERP systemsKnowledge of forecasting and planning methodologiesBudget, expense, and resource management experience required
