About the role:
Reporting to the Director, Maintenance Improvement, the Manager, Maintenance will support the development and implementation of improved maintenance and reliability practices across EVR Coal sites. This support will involve providing leadership, mentorship, expert level analysis, and technical support.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to implement maintenance initiatives.

In this role you will:
Participate in and comply with all health and safety programs and policies.Coordinate innovation roadmaps, enhancements, implementations, and defect resolution for maintenance applications across the Coal Business Unit, ensuring alignment with improved reliability and maintenance practicesMaintain integrity of physical asset master data by controlling and governing data editsCoordinate development of maintenance data storage solutions by partnering with Digital Systems to ensure structured and unstructured data supports current and future reporting and analytics needsSupport sites in assessing reliability and maintenance work processes, developing high-value improvement plans, and ensuring successful implementationFacilitate development and implementation of structured work programs and processes (CBM, RCM, PMO, FMECA) and improved work management practicesPartner with site operations to resolve bad actors and eliminate equipment and process defectsSupport development, reporting, and KPI’s analysisProvide expert user guidance for common reliability and maintenance systems across EVREnable knowledge sharing between sites through SharePoint, forums, vendor engagements, virtual meetings, and site collaborationSupport development and maintenance of centralized documents, including the Asset Management Framework, Maintenance Manual, and facilitation guidesSupport reliability and maintenance training initiatives across the Coal Business UnitLead and/or support key maintenance projects and asset procurementOther responsibilities as required or as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; P. Eng is requiredMinimum of ten years of work experience with a minimum of three years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including aspects of engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction; experience in a heavy industrial sector is requiredEligible for, or actively working toward, professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British ColumbiaAdvanced knowledge of reliability programs, maintenance applications, and condition-based monitoring technologiesAdvanced understanding of work identification, work management, planning, and scheduling processesStrong knowledge of machine dynamics, maintenance practices, and equipment lifecycle evaluation and costingAdvanced understanding of maintenance budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-asset planningStrong analytical skills, including value and benefit analysis for improvement initiativesStrong change management capability with demonstrated success driving behavioural changeProven team player with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environmentsValid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
