At BEVEL, we create simple, effective grooming solutions designed to meet the needs of Black men. We're looking for a Retail Accounts Manager to support sales growth at existing retail accounts by owning account coordination, field execution, and day-to-day sales operations.
The Retail Accounts Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day retail account operations at existing retail partners and ensuring strong, consistent execution of BEVEL's retail plans in-market. This role serves as the primary point of contact for retail partners and drives productivity through optimized assortment and consumption insights.
The successful candidate will have an analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex relationships with retailers. They will leverage data and insights to formulate recommendations, create pitch decks, and execute strategies in line with brand objectives, category priorities, and long-term goals. The ability to identify and unlock growth opportunities with key accounts, manage multiple concurrent priorities, and pivot quickly amid shifting business needs will be essential.
What you'll do
Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis
Review and analyze consumption data within retailer portals to develop insights into customer trends and product performance, and share findings with the leadership team weekly and monthly.Provide key inputs for account-level demand planning and forecasting.Support forecast execution by incorporating retailer-specific promotions, merchandising activity, and in-store considerations.Own ongoing reporting and analysis of sales performance, inventory, and forecast vs. actuals to identify gaps and risks.Communicate weekly, monthly, and quarterly business updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.Account Management & Retail Execution
Drive retailer productivity and revenue growth by recommending and optimizing assortment mixes based on consumption data, market trends, and sales performance at each account.Manage day-to-day relationships with all retail accounts, including buyers, demand planners, and distributors.Support the execution of retail strategies set by the leadership team, ensuring alignment with account priorities and timelines.Own account-level operational execution, including item setup, promotions, merchandising, and fulfilling retailer requests.Balance short-term execution with mid- to long-term account planning in partnership with the Leadership Team.Retail Strategy Support
Support the brand in building and executing account-specific growth plans focused on trial, distribution, share growth, and household penetration.Provide inputs into promotion strategy and customer spending by account.Contribute to assortment, merchandising, and in-store execution strategies that elevate BEVEL's shelf presence.Trade Shows & Experiential Execution
Represent BEVEL with retail partners, distributors, and customers during trade shows and experiential events.Execute event plans as defined by brand leadership, ensuring a professional, well-coordinated brand presence.Manage event logistics, including travel coordination, booth setup, materials, samples, and real-time issue resolution.Capture insights, feedback, and follow-up actions from events and communicate learnings internally.Travel frequently throughout the year, including concentrated periods and weekend travel as required.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Brand and eCommerce teams where retail and digital strategies intersect to ensure cohesive execution.Partner with Demand Planning & Finance to support accurate account-level forecasts and inventory flow.Collaborate cross-functionally with commercialization teams to ensure new item launches and key initiatives are executed flawlessly.External Partner Management
Manage relationships with brokers, distributors, third-party sales or merchandising agencies, in-store auditors, and shelf-space consultants.Ensure external partners are aligned to BEVEL's priorities, standards, and execution expectations.
Qualifications
7+ years of commercial sales experience (Retail Sales, Business Development, or Account Management); fast-moving consumer goods experience (beauty, grooming, personal care, or wellness categories) strongly preferred.Experience working directly with national retailers; exposure to mass and specialty accounts a plus.Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced business degree preferred.Advanced proficiency in Excel, including forecasting and data analysis.Strong understanding of retail operations, promotions, and merchandising execution.Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills paired with clear written and verbal communication.Highly collaborative, proactive, and execution-oriented with a strong bias for action.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment.Takes ownership, maintains high standards, and follows through on details.Willingness to travel frequently as needed, including episodic travel during nights and weekends.
