We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting operations across Lovingly’s U.S. and Canadian entities.
You’ll work closely with the Controller and CFO to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient accounting processes in a fast-moving, AI-forward company.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on ownership, accuracy, and improving systems.
📍 Location: In-person role based in the New York area.
• Manage accounting for Lovingly LLC (USD) and Canada ULC (CAD)
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Maintain the chart of accounts and fixed asset schedules
• Support year-end close and external audits
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Perform variance analysis vs. budget and prior periods
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Manage FX translation for Canadian operations
• Perform bank reconciliations across U.S. and Canadian accounts
• Process payroll through ADP and reconcile payroll entries
• Reconcile payment processor settlements (Adyen) to the GL
• Manage company expenses and vendor payments through Ramp
• Review AI-categorized expenses and resolve exceptions
• Ensure accurate department coding and expense controls

You’ll help:
• Automate repetitive accounting workflows
• Use AI tools to generate first-draft reconciliations and analysis
• Document processes so systems scale as the company grows
Requirements
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with multi-entity accounting environments
• Strong US GAAP knowledge (Canadian accounting familiarity is a plus)
• Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Payroll processing experience (ADP preferred)
