The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is seeking a hands-on and technically skilled Systems Integration Technician to support the installation, the integration, qualification, commissioning and startup of TLM’s next-generation sawmills. This role focuses on systems design, assembly, integration, testing, qualification, and commissioning activities required to operationalize existing systems. Thereafter, focus will shift to the development of the subsequent network of TLM sawmills, and continued optimization of systems, in various geographies across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, and improve physical systems, in coordination with Systems Engineers, to support integration of sawmill machine centers and associated processes
In coordination with Systems Engineers, qualification, testing, and validation processes shall be executed to ensure the facility operates according to specifications
Innovate and continuously improve system design and operational workflows. Support design and innovation efforts to develop optimized solutions for sawmill systems, material flow, process design, site layout, and associated documentation considerations.
Assist in the configuration of digital systems, in coordination with Controls Engineers, and integration of automated sawmill machinery, including PLCs, sensors, motor controls, and industrial networks.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Automation, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field, preferred.
2+ years of experience in systems integration or industrial maintenance, preferably in a sawmill or heavy manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of mechanical and control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI interfaces, and industrial automation solutions
Familiarity with sawmill mechanical systems, including conveyors, saws, sorters, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with heavy machinery.

The expected annual base salary for this position starts at $60,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes comprehensive health coverage, life insurance, and flexible time off. The applicable annual base salary paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the nature and extent of prior experience and educational background.
