Lanterna is a dynamic, fast-growing online teaching company dedicated to unlocking every student's potential. We provide exceptional live online education to IB (International Baccalaureate) students worldwide, delivered by a network of IB substitute teachers. Today we have 250+ customers spread over more than 80 countries. Our environment is vibrant, caring, and creatively charged.
You’ll be joining our marketing function at a pivotal moment: an established, loved brand with huge potential for growth across the world. This is a generalist marketing internship by design. You’ll get real exposure across content, social, events, and operations, not just one narrow slice.
Where exactly you spend your time will depend on who you are. Finding the right match in attitude, mindset, and ambition is far more to us than ticking a checklist. We’ll build the focus around where you shine.
What ties it all together: you’ll be doing real work, as a real part of the team, pointed at real commercial goals and you’re not afraid to get stuff done.
Depending on your profile and where you add most value, your work could include:
Writing content: blog posts, case studies, school-facing copy, and email campaigns that actually get read
Supporting events: helping plan and coordinate conferences, webinars, and school-facing activations
Using the latest AI tools to raise the speed and quality of our marketing output, from smarter research and sharper copy to more creative campaigns and scalable processes
Contributing to email marketing via HubSpot: campaign builds, nurture sequences, and audience segmentation
Carrying out market and competitor research: tracking what’s resonating in IB and edtech, and feeding insights back to the team
Running our social media presence across channels, from scheduling and community engagement to tracking what lands and iterating
Design support: social assets, one-pagers, and decks, if that’s a strength you bring
We don’t care much about your CV. We care about how you think and how you show up.
You take ownership. If something needs doing, you do it, you don’t wait to be told.
You have a genuine commercial instinct: curious about how businesses grow and energised by being part of that.
You’re structured. You manage your own time well, keep things organised, and don’t let things fall through the cracks.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can structure your own day without a minute-by-minute plan. Ideally you see where you can add value and you act on that.
You move fast and learn faster. When something doesn’t work, you iterate.
You bring your full self to work. No performance, no politics, just honest effort.
Perhaps most importantly, you’re humble, and curious to learn and contribute!
