The Opportunity
Position Summary:
This position provides professional clinical support and leadership to the interdisciplinary team. Functions in the role of expert clinician resource, clinical practice lead, and clinical nursing leader, collaborating with the Team Lead(s), Educators, Clinical Safety Coordinators, and Director of Care(s), as well as residents and their families.
Role models and mentors inter-disciplinary teams to achieve safe, quality care, meet standards of care and standards of practice, informed by regulations and guidelines, while adhering to Carewest policies, procedures, protocols, and best practices. Embodies the Carewest values of caring, building healthy relationships, practicing excellence and encouraging others to do same, taking accountability for actions, and partnering in effective teams. Promotes mutual respect and trust when assisting team members to analyze and solve clinical problems.
The majority of the time will be allocated to clinical practice with a smaller portion of the time allocated to quality improvement initiatives and oversight of projects. Other related duties as required, including working with the leadership team across the site on projects and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's of Nursing required.
- Master’s RN degree preferred.
- Registration with the AAN, CRNA, and CPS Licensing.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience related to the program area.
- Previous experience at the Nurse Clinician level.
- Excellent clinical and assessment skills.
- Demonstrated leadership; organizational and excellent communication
skills required.
- Program Specific Requirements: Chronic disease management nursing experience required.
- Clinical Leadership experience required.
- Clinical training or certification in chronic disease management or trauma informed care preferred.
