In this role, you will oversee all administrative activities related to payroll including processing weekly payroll, collecting time records, transmitting payments, processing pay deductions, calculating weekly and monthly bonus pay, being point of contact for employee payroll issues/inquiries. This role will work on site out of our Austin, TX headquarters. Because the responsibilities of this role are diverse, the ideal candidate should be able to clearly demonstrate a proven record of data management experience, be able work in a fast-paced work environment and have an eye for process improvement.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Reviews and edits employee time keeping through ADP prior to process payroll; followsup with employees/managers for missed punches to ensure appropriate allocation of laborProcesses weekly multi-state payroll including calculating weekly/monthly bonusesProcess off-cycle payrolls, separation pay, and manual checks as needed applicable tostate/local payday lawsWorks closely with management and business intelligence to calculate and track bonusesusing Excel SpreadsheetsManages tax and withholding deductions for all federal, state, local or other corporatetaxes that affect payroll amountsProcesses wage verification paperwork for current and former employeesSets up wage garnishment deductions per court orders in ADPReconcile benefit deductions (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HAS/FSA)Ensure proper processing of prevailing wage or certified payrollProduce year-end employee withholding tax reports and forms including W-2 and1099’s; communicates any new federal/state/location tax information with employeesAnswers employee questions regarding paychecks, withholding tax issues or wageadjustments; help troubleshoot possible issues with pay.Assists with other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
Must have 3 to 4 years of high-capacity full-cycle payroll experienceStrong knowledge of payroll laws and regulationsAdvanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Excel pivot tablesPrior experience processing multi-state payroll; TX and CO strongly preferredPrior HRIS experience; ADP experience strongly preferredCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification huge plus but not required BS/BA degree in HR, Business or Accounting preferred but not required
