Purpose of the role:
In this 10-month placement as a PR Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside ii’s fast-paced and high profile PR team, who are highly respected in the national and trade press.
In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience within a busy press office in the UK’s second largest investment platform. As well as our role in shaping thought leadership in the investment platform space, and dealing with investment platform issues, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of highly regarded media spokespeople in the industry - across the markets, personal finance, pensions, and investment fund space.
Key responsibilities/what you’ll do:
- Support the PR Manager to promote ii as a business, and its spokespeople in the national, trade, and broadcast media
- Support the PR Manager and wider PR team to identify relevant news stories/angles where there are opportunities for ii
- Draft press releases, which get distributed to the media - covering a wide range of topics across personal finance, pensions, investments, and financial markets
- Collaborate with the PR team on key campaigns to champion retail investment, including pensions awareness
- Find newsworthy angles through analysing ii’s customer data and trends
- Assist with consumer research, drafting surveys and finding media angles within the results
- Monitor regulatory announcements that may be relevant to ii
- Support the PR Manager with media outreach
- Work with ii’s PR agency on reporting to support PR Manager on weekly and monthly PR updates and documents
- Support the PR Manager on hosting press events
- Help collate and pitch customer case studies for the press

Requirements
To apply for this role, you will need:
- To be eligible to work in the UK
- To be over 18 years old as of 1st September 2026
- To be a 2nd year student in a full-time undergraduate degree with an industry placement year, in a subject relevant to this role
- To have achieved a minimum of 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC) or an equivalent (e.g., BTEC DMM) qualification
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) grades A* to C (new grades 9 to 4)
