About Aphex
We're the construction planning platform replacing outdated spreadsheets with multiplayer tools that delivery teams love. Major contractors like Acciona, CPB Contractors, John Holland, and McConnell Dowell use Aphex to deliver projects from £50 million to multi-billion pound mega projects.
We're market-leading in Australia and the UK, supporting teams building the roads, rail, tunnels, and hospitals that millions use every day. Our founding thesis: owning the planning layer is a gateway to solving high-friction adjacent processes in what we call the orchestration layer of major project delivery.
The Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to own day-to-day execution of our Insight and Data platform.
Your mission: unlock value from construction's most detailed execution dataset.
The opportunity: Aphex captures something unique—granular, structured data about how major projects actually execute. Planning. Coordination. Progress. Constraints. The gap between plan and reality. This dataset doesn't exist anywhere else at this fidelity.
Meanwhile, construction is stuck reinventing analytics for every project. Basic reporting is bespoke every time. Portfolio-level insights? Manual and painful. Enterprise AI? Not possible without the data foundation.
We're solving the foundational problems and unlocking what's next. Standardised reporting. Connected data. AI-ready infrastructure.
Where we are: API platform used by a large customer cohort. Power BI integrations live. Built-in dashboards deployed. We've spent 9 months building embeddable dashboard MVP—standardised reporting from project to portfolio. About to launch private alpha with enterprise customers. This is the inflection point.
Your scope: API platform, Power BI integrations, P6 exports, embeddable dashboards, Insight product (reporting/analytics). You'll work with developers, designers, and Solution Engineers to turn unique data into customer value.
You'll work with the Product Leader for Insight and Data, alongside developers, designers, and Solution Engineers to turn data mobility challenges into solved problems.
What You'll Do
Own Feature Delivery
Coordinate end-to-end: discovery through QA to launch
Write clear specs that designers and developers can execute against
Make daily tradeoff decisions: scope, timeline, quality
Spot blockers early, unblock your team fast
Define "done" and hold the quality bar
Understand Customer Opportunities
Work with Solution Engineers and CS to understand how customers want to use their data
Translate customer needs into buildable features
Partner with enterprise customers on what becomes possible
Test with real customer data and workflows
Track adoption: is what we built creating value?
Coordinate Across Functions
Partner with designers to scope and refine features
Work with Tech Lead on technical approach and feasibility
Keep internal teams informed: Sales, CS, Marketing
Manage dependencies: your work often unlocks what others need
Make sure everyone knows what's coming and why
Maintain Quality Standards
Define test cases, work with QA/Tech Leads to ensure features work properly
Triage bugs in collaboration with Customer Experience
Balance shipping velocity with getting it right
Own product analytics: are customers getting value?
Platform reliability matters—major projects depend on accurate, accessible data
Why This Matters
Aphex captures execution data that doesn't exist elsewhere—daily coordination, actual progress, constraints with context. Right now, every contractor reinvents analytics from scratch. You're building the platform that makes reporting standardised, portfolio insights accessible, and enterprise AI capabilities possible.
This isn't pure execution. You'll partner with your Product Leader on quarterly planning. You'll have customer conversations that shape direction. You'll make calls about what ships this week versus next week. But your primary job is turning data opportunity into shipped features that customers use and value.
Every feature you ship either solves a current problem or unlocks a future capability. Often both.
