Lucida AI builds voice-first, AI-powered products used by users across multiple countries. Backed by $6.7M in funding, we focus on real-time speech, AI-driven conversations, and scalable voice infrastructure.
We’re looking for a Python Developer who will work on real-time audio, voice pipelines, and LiveKit-based systems, and help us build reliable, low-latency production systems.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership and direct impact on the core product.

- Work directly with LiveKit for audio/video streaming and real-time communication
- Build and optimize speech-to-speech pipelines (streaming audio, events, state handling)
- Integrate AI components (ASR, TTS, LLMs) into real-time systems
- Design and improve low-latency, scalable architectures
- Debug performance issues related to streaming, concurrency, and networking
- Collaborate closely with founders on core technical decisions
- Take ownership of features from development to production
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience working with real-time systems, streaming, or WebRTC-based technologies
- Hands-on experience with LiveKit (or similar real-time communication frameworks)
- Solid understanding of async programming, concurrency, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with APIs, background workers, and production deployments
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Good communication skills and strong ownership mentality
- Proficiency in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with audio processing, ASR, TTS, or voice AI systems
- Familiarity with WebRTC internals
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Prior experience building scalable real-time products
Benefits
- Work on core voice & AI infrastructure, not side features
- High ownership and direct impact
- Competitive compensation
- Flexible work culture (outcome-focused)
- Top-tier equipment and tools
- Steep learning curve in real-time AI systems
