Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards and procedures for all products, ensuring compliance with both company policies and national regulations (e.g., NAFDAC).
Conduct regular inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, in-process products, and final packaged goods to verify quality, purity, and safety.
Monitor and audit the processing and packaging lines to ensure operational procedures are followed correctly and to identify any potential quality deviations.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all quality checks, test results, and audit reports for traceability and analysis.
Investigate and report on quality issues or non-conformances, working with the production team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Train and mentor staff on proper hygiene, sanitation, and quality control procedures to foster a culture of quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or a related field.
8 – 10 years of proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in the agricultural industry.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).
Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
