We are seeking an experienced R2R Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Record to Report (RTR / R2R) function. This role is critical in ensuring process accuracy, compliance, and consistency across financial close, reporting, and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in R2R operations, quality frameworks, and RACM (Risk and Control Matrix), with a strong ability to partner with stakeholders and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the quality framework for the R2R / RTR function, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs, KPIs, and control standards.
  • Lead quality reviews, audits, and process assessments across Record to Report activities, including month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern RACM (Risk and Control Matrix) for R2R processes, ensuring robust controls, risk mitigation, and audit readiness.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on quality issues, close variances, and control gaps; drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner closely with R2R operations, controllership, internal audit, compliance, and transformation teams to ensure alignment with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive standardization and process improvements across R2R processes, leveraging best practices, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics, trends, and insights to senior leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audits, SOX compliance, and management testing by ensuring documentation accuracy and control effectiveness.
  • Coach and mentor R2R teams on quality expectations, control awareness, and process discipline.
  • Act as a key contributor in transition, transformation, and stabilization initiatives related to Record to Report processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R / RTR) within shared services, GBS, or large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in R2R quality management, governance, and controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of RACM, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to conduct quality audits, RCAs, and process reviews.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a continuous improvement orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supporting SOX, internal audit, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exposure to automation, process mining, or R2R transformation initiatives.
