Registered Nurse - Scrub & Scout

Exciting part-time opportunities are now available at Epworth Freemasons in East Melbourne.
Join a dynamic perioperative environment featuring 12 theatres which are all co‑located with a Day of Surgery Admissions Centre and a Short Stay Unit, with the added support of a 24‑hour ICU.  

You’ll work across a wide variety of surgical specialties including adults; paediatrics; general surgical; gynaecology; urology; ENT; maxillofacial; orthopaedics; endoscopy; plastics and maternity services and be guided by an experienced and supportive leadership team. Your ongoing professional development will be a priority, with coaching and education tailored to your personal career journey.

You will make an impact by:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients throughout their time in the theatre 
• Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care needs of patients 
• Monitoring patients' conditions during procedures and reporting any changes

As a Scrub & Scout Registered Nurse, you’re seeking the chance to work alongside a team of truly patient‑centred professionals. You’re an effective communicator, adaptable in your approach, and naturally able to demonstrate compassion and empathy with every patient interaction. With a solutions‑focused mindset and a commitment to placing patients at the centre of all your decisions, you thrive in a collaborative environment surrounded by equally dedicated theatre nurses.

You will have:

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience as a Scrub Scout is required
• Current unrestricted AHPRA nursing registration
• Experience within an acute tertiary environment
• Broad exposure across a range of surgical specialties is essential
• Ability to work a Monday – Friday rotating roster (mix of AM and PM shifts)

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $82,236 - $103,280 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
