Pollard & Associates (Pollard), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator to manage a caseload of Defined Contribution retirement plans. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of plan administration including compliance testing, contribution calculations, government reporting, and day-to-day client support.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing multiple plans independently while maintaining a strong focus on client service, accuracy, and deadlines. Manage a caseload of approximately 75 401(k) and cross-tested plans, handling A-Z administration (excluding loans, distributions, and plan documents/amendments)
Oversee annual plan administration timelines including compliance testing, contribution calculations, and government reporting
Perform and review ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, and 401(a)(4) nondiscrimination testing
Coordinate year-end plan valuations and government filings, including asset reconciliation and trust accounting for plans maintained on recordkeeping platforms
Review census data and reconcile participant account information including contribution receivables
Read and interpret plan documents and amendments to ensure accurate plan administration
Partner with clients to discuss plan design changes, contribution strategies, and regulatory updates
Maintain awareness of evolving retirement plan legislation and industry best practices
Utilize administration systems such as FT William and other technologies to support efficient plan management
Provide responsive, high-quality client service and maintain strong client relationships
5+ years of retirement plan administration experience
Strong knowledge of Defined Contribution plan compliance testing including ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, and 401(a)(4)
Familiarity with cross-testing plan designs
Experience working with administration platforms such as FT William preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative team player with a strong client service mindset
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and mathematical skills
ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials or interest in pursuing professional certifications
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 annually.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
