APC is seeking an Entry Level Loan & Distribution Specialist to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate who is interested in starting a career in the retirement and financial services industry.
The Loan & Distribution Specialist assists with the review and processing of participant loan and distribution requests from qualified retirement plans. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with plan participants, clients, and financial advisors.
Review loan and distribution requests from retirement plan participants to ensure compliance with plan provisions and IRS regulations
Process retirement plan loans, hardship withdrawals, and other distributions
Communicate with plan participants, clients, and financial advisors to gather required documentation and provide updates
Respond to a high volume of participant inquiries via email and phone
Verify eligibility for loans and distributions based on plan guidelines
Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
Coordinate with plan administrators and internal teams to complete transactions efficiently
Assist with preparing required forms and distribution paperwork
Track requests and workflow using internal systems and spreadsheets
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Recent college graduates encouraged to apply — no prior industry experience required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with basic math and calculations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working with computers and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
