Position overview
The Sales Manager Germany & Austria drives consistent revenue growth and cultivates a solid brand presence within key retail channels in both markets. This position leads the development and deployment of regional sales strategies, using a thorough understanding of the German and Austrian retail sectors to ensure enduring commercial success.
As a strategic and hands-on leader, the Sales Manager fosters strong, positive connections with retail partners, distributors, and internal teams. Collaborating effectively, they bring teams together around clear priorities and represent the company with confidence, authenticity, and integrity in every external interaction.
Possessing a strong commercial insight and a play to win attitude, the Sales Manager converts strategy into practical outcomes. They develop and bolster the distribution network, reach objectives, and guarantee consistent delivery throughout channels. This role grants considerable autonomy and entrepreneurial freedom within a fast-growing international enterprise. What You'll Do
Provide dynamic sales leadership to achieve ambitious growth targets
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies in close cooperation with Senior Sales Manager GER&AUT to grow the business across key accounts, including Snipes, Breuninger and Blue Tomato and other selected partners.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, launch, and manage initiatives and campaigns.
- Drive retail activations in partnership with Trade Marketing.
- Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand presence, elevate the consumer experience, expand assortments, and drive sell-through both in-store and online.
- Manage and maintain a robust revenue pipeline to deliver against targets.
- Create compelling sell-in programs, presentations, and sales tools.
- Implement customer and channel segmentation within the go-to-market strategy.
- Build tailored assortment plans for different accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, and proactively adapt sales approaches.
Operate with excellence
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and sales planning.
- Leverage market and customer analytics to inform business development decisions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all channels and key accounts across the region.
- Partner closely with Account Management to deliver excellent customer relationships.
- Monitor complex order books to ensure timely inventory availability and delivery.
Inspire and develop account management
- Organize and lead high-impact sales meetings, trainings, and key account presentations.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop best-in-class sales management and customer service capabilities.
- Prioritize face-to-face engagement in the field with key accounts.
- Partner closely with leadership, Product, and Marketing teams to drive brand and business success.

- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and Austria.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of multi-channel sales leadership or sales management experience, including proven ability to grow key accounts.
- Deep knowledge of Germany and Austria sales channels, including athletic specialty, department stores, and premium lifestyle.
- Existing relationships with buyers and proven experience with key retailers and distributors in relevant channels.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, ROI of account programs, and sales planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and forecasting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
