hiring a Sales Manager – Inland Freight Brokerage. We seek a proven Commercial Manager experienced in Inland Freight Brokerage to lead, structure, and scale a high-performance sales team. This role is for an operational leader with verifiable results and the ability to build a performance-driven, profitability-focused commercial culture, not an entry-level or training position.
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on Inland Freight Brokerage sales experience
• Verifiable results in revenue generation, gross profit, and account development
• Solid knowledge of OTR (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed), spot market, contracts, carrier negotiation, and margin management
• Experience supervising or leading sales teams
• Full mastery of the brokerage sales cycle
• Strong experience with TMS & CRM systems
• Big plus: Active book of business and/or experience within the Landstar network
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and structure the Inland sales team
• Design and implement strategies to grow revenue and margins
• Define KPIs, metrics, and commercial discipline
• Support team prospecting, pipeline development, and closing
• Ensure healthy margins and profitability
• Participate in negotiations and strategic account development
• Implement scalable CRM, reporting, and follow-up processes
• Recruit and train new sales representatives as needed
• Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure high-quality service execution

• First 90 days:
• Evaluate current team structure and performance
• Present a structured commercial plan
• Improve pipeline visibility

• First 6 months:
